Who we are and what this notice covers

Eikvard LLC operates eikvard.com, an informational website about Eikvard and its products. Eikvard LLC is responsible for the personal information it handles for the purposes described here. Contact legal@eikvard.com with corporate privacy questions.

This website has no accounts, contact forms, payment processing or public user submissions. Individual products may have separate privacy notices. This notice does not describe ChowSabi’s planned product data practices; direct ChowSabi privacy enquiries to privacy@chowsabi.com.

Information and its sources

Correspondence: when you email us, you provide your email address and any name, organisation, message, attachments or other details you include. Email delivery also involves message headers and related technical information. Providing correspondence is voluntary, but we may be unable to answer an enquiry without enough information.

Website requests: your device generates technical information when it connects to this website. Cloudflare, our hosting and network provider, processes information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, requested URLs, request times, routing data and security events. The information available to Eikvard depends on the provider’s services and settings.

Why we use information

We use correspondence to answer enquiries, provide corporate support, manage business communications and maintain relevant records. Technical information supports website delivery, troubleshooting, reliability and protection against abuse. Information may also be needed to meet legal obligations or address legal claims.

Where a lawful basis is required under applicable data protection law, ordinary enquiries, business records and website operation are based on our legitimate interests in communicating with people and operating a reliable, protected website, balanced against their rights. Processing necessary to meet a legal obligation is based on that obligation. We do not treat visiting the site or sending an email as consent to unrelated uses.

This corporate website does not profile visitors or make automated decisions about them with legal or similarly significant effects. Network security systems may automatically identify or block suspected abusive traffic.

Providers and other recipients

Cloudflare processes website requests for hosting, delivery and security. Namecheap hosts Eikvard’s business email and processes correspondence for message delivery and storage. Their service infrastructure may involve additional providers.

Relevant information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to respond to legal claims, protect rights or address abuse. For information covered by this notice, Eikvard does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioural advertising or use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies and browser privacy signals

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits, page views, referring sites, general device and browser categories, approximate country-level traffic and website performance. Its browser beacon processes page and performance information for the page being viewed. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or browser storage, does not track people across websites and discards the source IP address at its nearest data centre rather than storing it in the service’s core databases or logs. We do not use advertising pixels, session replay, marketing cookies or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare may separately use security-related cookies when enabled protection features require them.

The website operates without sale, advertising sharing or cross-site tracking whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Its behavior does not otherwise change in response to those signals. Technical processing needed to deliver and protect the website still occurs.

Retention and safeguards

How long information is retained depends on why it is needed. For correspondence, relevant factors include resolving the enquiry, maintaining necessary business records and applicable legal obligations or claims. Technical and security records depend on the service, its configured settings and any investigation needs. Provider backups and deletion processes may affect when stored copies are removed.

We seek to protect information through administrative, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and how it is used. Protection also depends on the hosting and email services involved. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send passwords, payment details, government identifiers, health information or other sensitive information through a general enquiry.

International processing

Eikvard is a U.S. company. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate; local privacy protections may differ. Contact legal@eikvard.com to ask about processing locations and applicable provider transfer safeguards. This notice does not ask you to waive protections that apply under your local law.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to know about or access your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. Where applicable, you may withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent, appeal a decision on a request or use an authorised agent. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in the relevant law.

Right to object: where applicable law provides this right, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular circumstances. Contact legal@eikvard.com to exercise this or another privacy right.

We may request information reasonably needed to verify and handle your request. You do not need a website account to make a request. We will handle requests under the applicable requirements and will not penalise you for exercising protected privacy rights.

Children and complaints

This corporate website is not directed to children and does not intentionally solicit their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact legal@eikvard.com so we can review and address it.

Please raise privacy concerns with legal@eikvard.com. You may also complain to the relevant privacy regulator where applicable; contacting us first does not remove that right. In the UK, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice as the website or our practices change and will identify the update date on this page. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a change, an update to this page alone does not replace it.
